Professional website localization: translating the content without changing formatting. CAT tools (Trados 2007 Suite™ and Trados Studio 2009™), together with my professional experience as programmer (check my CV) allows me to translate HTML and XHTML documents with PHP, JavaScript, ASP.NET code modifying the necessary strings without changing the functionality.

Editing (check the translation against the original to assess its correctness) and proofreading (check for grammatical errors in translated text) of my translations as well as other texts. The foremost Spanish language references are used to provide maximum quality: Diccionario de la Real Academia Española, Gramática de la Lengua Española, Ortografía de la Lengua Española, and Diccionario Panhispánico de Dudas. Additional references about style, typography, false cognates, editorial design, etc.

Proofreading, editing and quality assurance

To make the most of the use of these sources and to check the text exhaustively, we have developed and implemented an exclusive computer assisted proofreading tool based on macros. This application applies literally thousand of programmed rules based on the language references above.

In doing this, mistakes and inconsistencies that are usually ignored by typical spell checkers and human proofreaders can be easily detected and corrected.

Additional rules and manuals of style can be used on request.
